Tom Croci is the grandson of Italian immigrants who entered the United States through Ellis Island.

Tom graduated from Connetquot High School in 1990 and attended James Madison University where he studied Political Science and was heavily involved in school activities. During his summer breaks, he was a Park Attendant and Lifeguard for the Town of Islip where he worked at Atlantique Beach on Fire Island and the beaches of the Great South Bay and pools of Islip Township. Tom also interned for the newly elected Congressman Rick Lazio in Washington in the Summer of 1993. He graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Political Science in 1994 and went on to earn his Juris Doctor from The New York Law School in 1997 completing legal internships with The New York County District Attorney’s Office, Office of Special Narcotics, where he worked with NYPD narcotics detectives and prosecutors to convict drug dealers. Tom also interned with a local law firm in Oakdale providing pro bono legal assistance to South Shore residents.

After passing the New York Bar Exam, Tom was invited to rejoin Congressman Lazio’s Staff as a Special Assistant where he worked on issues for constituents of the Second Congressional district, including government ethics, healthcare, senior citizen advocacy, taxes, veterans issues and housing. He served with Congressman Lazio until he was accepted to Navy Officer Candidate School, Pensacola, Florida. After receiving his commission, Tom spent over 8 years on active duty, earning the rank of Lieutenant Commander. His active duty service tours include Intelligence Officer to SEA CONTROL SQUADRON TWO TWO flying strike missions in S-3B aircraft from the USS HARRY S TRUMAN in the Arabian Gulf, in support of Operation Southern Watch, Iraq; as the Terrorism Analysis Cell Team Lead at the Office of Naval Intelligence tracking terrorist threats to the homeland; as a tactical intelligence officer who deployed on his first deployment to Afghanistan in 2004-05 where he lead a small team of Marines supporting Joint Operations.

Lieutenant Commander Croci culminated his active duty service as Senior Duty Officer in the White House Situation Room, National Security Council (2005-2007), Executive Office of the President where he directly supported the President and National Security Advisor during countless homeland and international crises. Upon transitioning from active duty in 2007 Tom was appointed to the Homeland Security Council Staff by President Bush where he served until the end of the administration as the Deputy Executive Secretary of the Homeland Security Council. He was requested to remain on the Presidential Transition Team by President Obama’s administration during the first wartime Presidential transition since the Truman- Eisenhower administrations. Shortly after the 2009 Presidential Inauguration, LCDR Croci was mobilized to active duty from the White House Staff and trained and deployed as an Intelligence Officer with a Navy SEAL team supporting Operation Enduring Freedom- Afghanistan. After 12 years of continuous service to our Navy and our nation, Tom returned home to become a small business owner joining as a partner of V1 Analytical Solutions Tom was appointed as District Director for Senator Lee M. Zeldin. Tom maintains his service in the Naval Reserve as the Executive Officer of the Kennedy Irregular Warfare Center which provides intelligence support Naval Special Warfare units.

For the past four decades, Tom and his family have been actively involved in charities fighting Alcoholism and drug abuse worldwide, supporting primary prevention and education and promoting the health of our youth thorough their long time leadership and volunteer work with The Christopher D. Smithers Foundation, The Long Island Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence and Derek Jeter’s Turn Two Foundation to name a few. Tom, his dad and sister established the Jo-Ann C. Croci Foundation in memory of Tom’s mother who died after battling Cancer in 2008. The Jo-Ann Croci Foundation provides educational scholarships to deserving Connetquot High School students.

Tom is a member of the Veterans of Foreign War, American Legion, AMVETS, Marine Corps League, Knights of Columbus, Sigma Chi Fraternity, Knight Chevalier, Order of St. Stanislas, Naval Intelligence Professionals and an Eagle Scout.

Tom resides in Bohemia where he grew up.
